Rose Birthday Cake
I hate choc. cakes!!! I hate them, I hate them, I hate them.... They always fall apart and the frosting always sticks weird! Hence the tuile around the base of the cake to hide the yucky parts! ha ha ha As far as the roses they are buttercream and my second try at a roses cake. This is by far the most unhappy I have been with my cakes, I guess I just like fun cakes, not serious ones! ha ha
I feel the same about chocolate cakes ... I tried to do minis recently and they fell apart doing the crumb coat! Still looks great though ... clever idea wtih the tulle!
