This car is hand carved out of sponge cake and filled with buttercream. I had a base made out of board and dowels. The tires are made of rice krispy treats and fondant, I smeared peanut butter and royal icing on the tire and car to give a rusty/dirty/muddy illusion. I smashed in parts of the cake and windshield to give the crash effect. The customer wanted the car black with white doors (white modeling chocolate) with hot pink accents. This was a hard but very fun cake to make.
