The cakes are covered in fondant. I used a stiff buttercream, spending much time on the corners. I also used two smoothers to bring the fondant corners as sharp as possible. I believe there must have been some luck involved.
thank you all so much. The border is from RVO-hard mold. You use a wire brush to pull out the unwanted pieces. Took a couple of trys but pretty easy once I found the right touch.
