Cake was iced in buttercream. The island was then covered with graham cracker/nilla wafer crumb sand. All pieces were done with either RKT, gumpaste, MMF or chocolate. I used pearl dust on some of the pieces. The birthday boy is really into his ABC's so they wanted the pirate to be coming out of the treasure chest and the treasure to be ABC coins.
