This cake was made for one of my student's sweet 16 birthday. It's a three layer white cake with buttercream icing. The pole were made with white chocolate and the steps were handcarved..To form the curtains in the backdrop, I inserted dowels into drinking straws that bent. I then inserted one crosswise and draped fondant over it. I added some of her favorite things and the presence of the #16 as asked.
