This cake was made for my grandson's baptism. The little boy represents my grandson, in bluejeans and t-shirt, holding his ever-present blanket (that I knitted for him :) When I began the angel, I expected her to look more like a Precious Moments angel.... but to my surprise, this angel with a lot of character and attitude showed up. If my little darling is anything like his father, he's going to need a really strong guardian angel! All the figures and decorations are handmade from homemade MFF with gumpaste, tylose. The cakes were 12" square and 8" square. The bottom was chocolate with brown sugar Swiss Meringue and chocolate ganache filling and icing. The top was vanilla with lemon curd filling and white chocolate ganache/vanilla buttercream icing. Thanks so much for looking!
