This yellow and white confection is actually not just for Mother's Day but it's an early birthday gift for my Mom...we are surprising her with the news that she's going to Disneyland for her 70th birthday in December...the whole family will be there! But I wanted it to be an elegant cake for Mother's Day as well so this is what I came up with. The top tier is lemon cake filled with coconut cream buttercream and then covered in buttercream and coconut. The second tier is Mexican Hot Chocolate cake filled with buttercream and covered in MMF. The bottom tier is a dummy just to make the cake look a bit more grand! HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!
