This cake was prepared for a women's evening. I wanted to create something feminine and romantic.

Jenn 123: I made the umbrella in three stages: the center is gumpaste, which I cut with a flower cutter. I then used royal icing to create the pattern around it (all on a half ball covered with aluminum foil) and finally used the garrett frill for the finish all around. the lilac dots are also royal icing.
