Hip Hop Birthday Cake

i am making my daughter a birthday cake similiar to this how did u make the stars ?? im going to make butterflies bu t dont know how to go about it? gum paste or fondant?

did u use fondant or gum paste for the stars?

I made the stars out of fondant but let them sit for an hour or so before I put them on the cake. The silhouettes were painted on with airbrush paint.

Sorry, I just realized you meant the stars on the wires. It was a long night. Anywho, the stars are modeling chocolate/candy clay.
