Linda
This cake was iced in Mouselline Buttercream (from "The Cake Bible") flavored with Kahlua. I didn't care for the ivory frosting against the stark white pillars though, but I didn't think about that until I was setting the cake up. The sizes were 14", 10" and 6". The flowers were supposed to be all red roses, but the florist threw in a surprise, but I liked the end result.
Very pretty!

Great job, very elegant.
Your cake is beautiful.
Very nice! The cake looks very pretty sitting on top of the red table cloth and the greenery.
I love the colors and the elegance of it all!
just beautiful!!!!
Very beautiful!! I love the design!
So gorgeous! It looks so smooth and the colors are really fantastic. I would have never paid attention to the white pillars.
Beautiful cake Great job!! :)
Beautiful!!!!
Absolutely Gorgeous! Would you mind telling me how you made the Buttercream? Please! ;-D
Very pretty cake!!
are those roses wrapped in something or do they have spikes or are they organic...Just wondering about placing fresh flowers on a cake and wonder what is the most common procedure when doing this.
Jennifer 293-The ones on the side had a large silk flower leaf glued to the bottom of the arrangement and the one on top was arranged in a dome, so only the plastic on the bottom of the dome touched the cake. I don't know if the flowers were organic, but the florist knew they were for a cake.
Very beautiful cake! I like the splash of the white roses in there!
this is just beautiful! I agree about the pillars; I don't like the wilton pillars at all. I say, just hide them with the beautiful roses! Your cake looks amazing, though
EXCELLENT!!!!!!!!
