This is my first ever decorated cake. I made it for my son's 3rd birthday. the cake is chocolate mud with chocolate ganache and fondant covering. elmo is rice krispie with butter cream. i took a couple of days off work to make it, but i was so immersed in it, when i went back to work it felt like i had taken a month off! stressful to make, it being my first and all, but boy did i love receiving all the compliments ... especially from my son! inspiration from planet cake book.
