I hadn't seen any Elmo cupcakes made from this perspective-- the ones I've seen are all meant to be seen from the top. So I thought I'd try making Elmo, to be seen from the side. I had trouble with getting the red color really bright though. It's white cake with vanilla buttercream. The eyes and nose are fondant.
