A lizard cake for a boy who was obsessed with all things reptile. Mom didn't want fondant so this is a carved chocolate cake covered in good ol' buttercream stars. Having said that, I did make his eyes and shape his tail and fingers out of fondant before covering. The tongue is also fondant wrapped around a nice juicy gummy bug. Brown sugar on icing on the board to give the desert sand feel with some gummy worms for an "ewwww" factor.
