My Dad's 60th birthday cake..the bottom nest cake was carmel cake with chocolate ganache filling and chocolate buttercream. The hen cake is vanilla. The head and tail feather is sculpted from modeling chocolate. I made this cake to look like his favorite Maran hen. 100% edible. There was an extra surprise to this cake because I scooped out some of the nest and put 2 eggs under the hen.
