This cake was made for a friend of mine whose husband is an extreme bass fisherman. I told her I would do my best... I had never attempted anything like this before. it took me 3 weeks to get this fish to look right. I sculpted the fish out of rice krispie treats and covered him with a combination of modeling chocolate and fondant and hand painted. The cake was a 1/2 sheet cake, (it should of been a little bigger because of the size of fish) but it worked out ok. It was covered in blue icing and accented with greenery, logs, lily pads, cattails, little frogs, butterlies and river rocks. They were very pleased with the cake,.
