Djembe is an African drum and my nephew wanted one for his birthday. We helped to buy him the one pictured and I thought it would be fun to make a matching cake. I used the Pampered Chef Classic Batter Bowl for the drum and added another 8 inch round. The base is cereal treats. Used dowel rods to hold up the cake. Everything is covered in fondant. Used gold airbrush food coloring to paint the design on the bottom. Strings are piped chocolate frosting.
