CSM: Unique idea for matching stands/etc.Like the blue/white contrast, but doesn't really match the board color-wise.I haven't attempted a flower such as this one, but first glance looks pretty.Center is a tad too dark for my taste. Not sure if I like the cake w/out a board underneath. I mean, do you cut on the platform & is the platform removable? It may be a detraction from the cake.So cake: Swirls are pretty, can see a tiny bulge but not bad. :)
CSM: (cont'd, cuz I'm windy today  ) I think to set this whole thing off, I would've put in a rich dark blue fondant board underneath the cake itself. Solid color. Then it would've set off your colors nicely & also a barrier of sorts to the cake plate. Just myhumble opinion. :) Overall an artsy cake. To add to the flower realism, try next time reallyl thinning out the edges of the petals.
CSM: I think the board detracts from the cake. The bottom side looks a little rough. I think that the center on the flower is a tad too dark. Overall, this cake is really pretty and you did a great job on the hand painting.
CSM: Good job! The handpainting is lovely, especially on the top. Really beautiful. I think I agree with the others that the cakestand is detracting from the cake a little and a plainer dark blue board would work better. The cake stand is really lovely though and I think it would look great with a plainer all white or monochrome cake on it! The flower might be a little dark for the shade of blue on the cake but it's very pretty and has a wonderful enamel effect on it - would make a lovely brooch!
