I actually made two of these. One is a yellow cake and the other a devil's food. They are frosted in BC. This is for a memorial service for a dear friend from my church. I tried to trace lines on the cake so whoever is serving will know where to cut. Any tips on doing that better, are welcome!!! TFL

Instead of making the cuts prior to serving, a very small thin line of piping could have been used. Such as the tips either #1 or #2. Might have made a better presentatiion. However, roses are very well done. If you really needed to leave a guide or instructions for the server of how to cut the cake, you could have left them a copy of the serving guide found in Wilton Yearbooks or online. They show the proper way to slice all shapes and types of cakes.
