My mom just wanted me to make a cake- she's been dying for something sweet. She got tired of waiting for me to bake her a cake, so she went out and bought two very large containers of strawberry. It was the the perfect thing to add to the cake! I was lazy and used the only boxed cake mix we had in the house- funfetti. So it's a 4 layer funfetti cake with dyed royal icing (a mixture of pink and no taste red for a vibrant SHOCKING pink color) filled with fresh strawberries and kept moist with a strawberry simple syrup. Didn't want to use fondant, so I gave the icing texture to make it visually pleasing.
