so the baby's room is deocorated with "kidsline organic willow" the mom sends me pics of the line and i say how about a cake lamp? so i tried my hand at reproducing the lamp from the line in cake, 7" for the shade and one single layer for the base, the deer/fawns are chocolate fondant with skewers helping the legs, there is a wooden support plate at the bottom of each cake and a center dowel holding them apart. a nice challenge, but definitely a learning experience. the third picture on here will be the real lamp for reference.
