Today's wedding cake was inspired by a photograph that the couple brought to me of a modeling chocolate cake by Richard Festen. I changed the brown to black, used fondant on buttercream instead of all modeling chocolate, and added lavender roses for the bride's color scheme. In the additional photo, you'll see that the cake looked quite different before the roses were added. Same cake, a little more edgy. Tfl!
