I am too...this was my first attempt at a cupcake bouquet, I used a 5" styrofoam ball and popsicle craft sticks. I inserted the craft sticks in the foam balll, cut a slit into the bottom of the mini cupcakes with a very sharp knife and then inserted them onto the sticks. Be careful the sticks are cut short enough that they don't go all the way through your cupcake and stcik out the top. This was a fun bouquet to put together and a big hit at the party, Have fun doing yours! :),
wonderful work! so pretty! i love this idea and want to make one for mothers day. however, iv not been able to find any styrofoam balls anywhere. im in the u.k do you know of anywhere i can buy one that will ship to me?
Hi Katie, thank you so much for your lovely compliment. I would tcheck with floral supply websites. Another idea I had, and that I am going to try as styrofoam balls tend to be expensive even here in the states, is to use rice cereal treats. and mold it onto a ball. I am going to try this and am going to omit the butter and add more cereal to make it firmer. I tthink this will work and am excited to give it a try. Best of luck to you!
