I made this for my daughters 15th birthday. She loves Basketball and had her party at the Halifax Metro Center during a Rainman basketball game. The cake is pink champagne with fresh strawberry buttercream. It was my first time trying a shoe cake and need a bit more practice with my carving but overall I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.
