Strawberry Shortcake on Cake Central

andrealinn, I made it with whipped heavy cream any where between 1 pint or 1 quart depending on the size of your cake. 1/2 cup regular sugar and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. I put both mixer and whisk attachment in the freezer for 5-10 minutes, then take out & begin pouring your milk and whip at speed 2 then increase speed to 6 or eight, but don't over beat. Make sure your kitchen is cool and no moisture in the air. I put my mixer on ice just to keep whipped icing stiff. Hope this helps.

I like the fluffy icing on the sides! How did you make your whipped icing? I'm so afraid of working with it and having it melt on me!
