This was for a man's birthday. It's a replica of the car he owned as a young man. I stacked frozen cake layers and carved out the shape. After it thawed, I iced it with buttercream icing and airbrushed.

Thanks for all the great comments! I made a mask out of paper to protect the white areas. Be careful...the icing might stick to it. I also hold a piece of cardboard in my hand and use it to deflect the spray as I move around.
