Chris's Bowling Cake

This cake idea came from a Wilton Yearbook. The bowler is made out of gumpaste to match the birthday boy's features. The purple shirt is a very distinctive bowling shirt he used to wear at times. The bowling ball is made of gumpaste to match his own bowling ball. The glasses are made out of flower wire, and the pins are just bought candles. The cake is buttercake filled with cream, peaches and caramel. A typical Uruguayan cake.

The set of bowling pin candles also comes with a black bowling ball candle, it's from Wilton. I chose to make my own ball so that i could insert the bowler's fingers into it AND could make it to match Chris's own ball. He loved the cake and has still got the bowler in a box somewhere.
