Looks great. Looking forward to seeing the real thing. If you don't mind me asking, how would you secure the styro spacers? Or do you simply just balance everything? I've always wanted to know how these were done. Thanks. :-)

Looks simple enough to balance the styrofoam on cake boards cut to the same round and simply insert your support into the cake for supporting the styrofoam as you would if it were cake on cardboard rounds.. That's how I would support it

I think it will look great! Can't wait to see it. What size are your spacers?

I was thinking maybe that a acrylic cupcake tower would work. I've been toying with trying something like this using that idea or concept. What do you think?

If it's just a display cake, you can hot glue the sucker together. :) It will be lovely!

If it's styrofoam dummies, besides the hot glue, I'd probably put a 1/2" dowel through it because the spacers are so much smaller than the tiers. If this is using cake, I'd probably use some thing thicker and stronger than a dowel (3/4"-1" PVC?) secured to the board and then thread the tiers and spaces down over it. Maybe use RI to secure the spacers to the bottom of each tier above it?

that a good idea! Do you have any advise on how to do the teirs that sit on the black spavers? jA cake circle wouldnt work so how would I make itt sturdy?
