This is the first wedding cake that I did in class. I'd love to get some honest opinions. One day I hope to own my own business. I used fondant and real flowers.
Beautiful first cake...Nice and smooth finish. Next time make sure you color both sides of the leaves ;-) I'm sure you'll do great in the business...R U in pastry school?
Thank you ALL so much for your comments. I took this class at a school called Emily Griffith Opportunity School in Denver, CO. I'm trying to take as many classes as possible to get as much experience as I can. I was trying to match a cake in the book, Cake Decorating for the First Time. The fondant came out a bit darker than the one in the book. Sassy, it's the angle I took the picture. Godiva, I thought about that when I was coloring them. I'd love to attend pastry school.
