This was for my son's 3rd birthday.The cake's design was inspired by a cake made by pink cake box bakery.Bottom tier is chocolate cake with vanilla buttercream,second tier is vanilla butter cake with chocolate fudge buttercream and top tier is lemon cake with lemon buttercream.Wagons and number 3 are made from gumpaste,stars with fondant sprinkled with yellow sugar crystals.Don't know a good trick to make wires stay in place(maybe someone can suggest a better way?have yet to try cofee stirrers).Read on the forum here not to stick wires directly to cake so i used straws and put some RI inside it but stars still did not stay in place..:-( But over all,was happy with the result.TFL!
