I made this cake for my cousin's 2 year old son. They requested an Elmo cake for their Sesame Street party. I did a trial run cake and used Wilton's 3D mini-bear pan and attempted to make Elmo. I wasn't happy with the finished product, so I found a wonderful cake on CC by karapags and added my personal touches. I made a vanilla cake with butter-cream icing. I made the characters out of fondant and then covered them in royal icing to give them a textured finish. I'm not close to being a professional, but very proud of how this cake turned out. I know that cookie monster is a little too large for the cake. Feel free to critique the cake because I would love to learn different techniques and ideas.
