Cake Calls on Cake Central

First time making cake balls. These are Sour cream Chocolate Cake with Buttercream. Almond Bark Chocolate. Was in a hurry (for work) so I couldnt decorate them with flowers and piping. I think with a few pointers, I could have something on my hands here. How do I get the chocolate smoother, without chocolate tips on the tops of all of them? Do I use a rack and pour the chocolate over them? Any suggestions would be wonderful.
