I made this cake for a friend who loves The Godfather. Everything on the cake is edible. The cake itself is a 12" square chocolate layer cake with coconut filling and coconut buttercream. It is covered in white marshmallow fondant with black royal icing tuxedo print on the sides. The cigar is modeling chocolate covered in fondant and the gun is modeling chocolate with edible silver dust for accent. The money purse is fondant and the money itself is an edible image I had printed at the local grocery. The fedora is sculpted pound cake covered in fondant. The rose and cluster of grapes are gumpaste and the orange is rice krispie treats covered in fondant. I was very happy with the results and my friend was thrilled!
