Mac Eyeshadow Cake
2layer choc cake. I cut the very top of the 2nd layer of cake(not evenly-just the very top-the isomalt is going to replace the dome shape of the cake) then you fill, and cover with black fondant. I spread icing on top of the fondant and sprinkle sanding sugar. Then I capped the cake with my isomalt bowl and trimmed the edge with another piece of fondant to cover the edges. Mac was painted on with black icing color and a very small brush.
I need to make an isomalt dome (approx 4-5 inches round). The only thing I can think of is to use a bowl but I think the isomalt will stick to the bowl.
Can you tell me what you used?
