The bottom of the box is three thin layers of vanilla sponge cake on a sugar cookie base. The top layer of cake is cut out to make the recessed portion of the box. The top of the box is a single layer of vanilla sponge on a sugar cookie base. The layers are filled with buttercream and the whole is covered with blue fondant. The white decorations are 50/50 fondant/gumpaste. The "pearls" are gumpaste strung on dental floss.
