I wanted to make a special cupcake for a Christmas party I was going to and used fresh ginger root to flavor this cupcake. I used a stiff cream cheese frosting recipe and added maple oil, vanilla and cinnamon to give the frosting a real holiday taste. This turned out to be my favorite frosting of all time!!!
