This was a 1st birthday cake. Butterflies were made using the gelatin method. My gelatin mold sheets weren't in yet, so we used fondant texture mats that came with a set of cookie cutters. They are attached to the wires using small fondant bodies. Wires are stood up in straws inserted into cake. Openings are covered up by those funky flower things.
