This cake is was made for a backwards baby shower! The Dad was the one who was surprised! The bottom is vanilla bean butter cake with a luscious butter sauce, coated in bc frosting, the top is red velvet with cream cheese frosting, both covered in fondant with fondant and gum paste accents and decorations. This cake was not the 'typical' baby shower cake, and I had a blast making it. The couple were into rock and roll, the Mom to be wanted a black and pink color scheme, skulls & crossbones, the Fathers guitar, and a very specific letter O incorporated, I was very happy with what I came up with, The Mom LOVED it, and I was told the entire family really enjoyed it and it definitely 'fit the bill'!
