Okay, so to most this may look like a disaster of a cake. Here's the thing though....my nephew is allergic to 6 major foods (wheat, dairy, eggs, coconut, soy, peanuts). Needless to say that makes making a cake hard. I was going to make MMF cos Kraft marshmallows he can have and powdered sugar but he can not have shortening because it contains soy......for icing, I made my cookie icing with his rice milk but it didn't harden as quick as usual. He helped me decorate it and had a ton of fun including writing his name. Does anyone have any ideas on how to make MMF without shortening? What could I use on my hands so it wouldn't stick when I'm mixing?
