Chocolate mud cupcakes. Covered in ganache and then fondant. I need practice covering cupcakes with fondant, it is harder than it looks to get it perfectly smooth. I will need to research and practice!
they look beautiful to me :D i have to ask though, how many people eat fondant on cupcakes? I see lots of beautiful cupcakes with fondant and wonder if the time gets wasted making them because no one eats it :(
Sgirvan - I wonder the same thing. I really don't like the taste of fondant and never eat it myself. I think a lot gets wasted. But it really does look nice!
Christycrabs - thank you. I must admit they look smoother in the photo than in real life. A few bumps around the place. I am trying to figure out the best way to place the fondant on top smoothly without being too thick. Thank you for the compliment.
