I made this cake for my son's bestfriend on his 14th birthday. I told my son to ask his friend what kind (meaning flavor) of cake he would like. He came home and told me he wanted a Halo Reach Cake. I went to google found a pic of the box his game had come in and this cake is my version of that box. It was 3 - 8"x8" layers of yellow cake and buttercream. The first fondant covered cake I had done for anyone outside of the family and quite a challenge for me, but the boys' thought it was great.
