Woah, What a PITA! Never will I make another again. My friend gave my one of those silicone giant cupcake pans to use and let me tell you they are all gimmick and no function. because the bottom portion is likely going to bulge out on the sides, I added a dowel support for the top half of the cake. I also used a white cake mix, as I figured it would need to be a somewhat light and fluffy cake since the pan's expectation is that the cake be like 7 inches deep! anyways, TFL :-)
