I made this cake for a engagment wine theme party. It turned out better than I thought. My husband is a geek and helped me with the right dimentions, which was my main concern for the cake to look the most realistic. Their is a 1/4 in rod hammered into the plywood base that I covered with fabric, for stability to decorating and travel. Wanted the tip of the bottle to look like dripping wax. Of course the cake is red velvet with butter cream cheese filling.
