This cake was a challenge, mostly because it was done in someone else's kitchen. It was an eggless chocolate cake with chocolate crusting buttercream, fondant and gumpaste accents. He requested a laser gun since his party was at a laser tag place. It was for my dear friend's son who, due to food allergies, could not remember ever having a birthday cake. I really wanted it to be perfect for him and was disappointed with the outcome. He liked it, though. 10 year old boys don't critique cake decoration. :) My son was present and said it tasted good, so kudos to my friend for making a yummy eggless cake.
