Just wonderful. How did you attach the flowers? What was the inside made of? It is just way too pretty to cut into.

OMG, thank you all for the lovely comments! I made a thick piece of fondant rope around the top of the cake, and inserted the flowers into that. I did not want to insert the flowers into the cake to mess it up! Don't know if this is the right way, but it worked for me. t

Just made this cake again, only this time it's real, Instead of a fondant rope under the lid, I glued a piece of styrofoam to the lid in which to insert the flowers. Much more professional looking!
