My paralegal's son was insistent on having a bugs and snakes cake. So, I came up with this. I got the idea for the snake from a book. I just cut one 8" round in half and the cut a half circle in the middle of each piece and moved it so it looked like an "S" then used the two middle pieces to make the head. Covered it with fondant. I made the bugs from a Wilton gummy bear kit. I put all of this on top of a regular sheet cake with brown icing and brown sugar to look like dirt.
