After doodling on paper with a pencil for days, and viewing all the amazing cakes on this website, I came up with this cake! Big thanks to CC and Fantasticakes for the inspiration! My nephew loves cars in general and so I wanted to make something special and fun! This was my first time making a cake like this. Also my first time making my own MMF and first time using gumpaste. This was a learn-as-you-go process but it was definitely a fun experience that I would do again! I am very happy with how it turned out and even more happy that my nephew loved his cake! I incorporated the party activities onto the cake, too - mini golf and tenpin bowling. This is a moist chocolate cake covered in buttercream, then MMF with MMF accents and gumpaste race cars. Everything is edible, apart from the toothpicks holding the Fondant Start and Finish signs and the golf flag pole. TFL :-)
