This cake was for a friend's birthday who is a die-hard Carolina Hurricanes hockey fan! He plays on an amateur team affliated with them and this is his jersey number I incorporated. The cake is fondant as is the jersey, puck and letters. The top is an edible image, the hockey stick is gumpaste. The "ice" is sugar ice. The cake was per his request - traditional yellow/dark chocolate ganache.
