Life size replica of my pastor's acoustic guitar, made for his 50th Birthday.

The neck and sides of guitar are covered in fondant, the top of the body of the guitar is all airbrushed buttercream (for the wood grain effect) The strings are actual silver thread attached onto the body with silver thumbtacks (only inedible parts)...the strings are attached to fondant bolt thingies on the neck (not sure what they're really called, but I made them from fondant and painted them gold.

Oh....and my proudest part of the whole cake.......it took me 4 hrs. start to finish!!!! I started baking it at 10pm and finished decorating at 2am! A miracle considering I usually spend longer than that on most sheetcakes LOL
