The cups are 5oz. Solo brand cups that have been stapled together. Then I took the Wilton ruffle and glue to the outer edge around the cups.

I found out how to do it THESUGARCOW!!! It goes as follows: 1Hold Open Star Decorating Tip 1M approximately1/4"above cupcake top at a 90° angle to cupcake surface. Pipe a spiral of icing or buttercream, beginning at the outer edge and working inward. 2 : Stop pressure; pull tip away. So now you have it, and I too.... :D :D :D

Sorry Zuckerblumen the directions you wrote our NOT how I dio mine. I start at the center of the cupcake and swirl outward to the edge. You may start anywhere you wish on the bouquet. I do several of the same color at a time . Then using the same bag move on to the next color.

The colors of these roses are gorgeous. Did you have any problem with the amount of coloring necessary to obtain these deep shades affecting the taste of the icing?
sweetcakes 9/28/10 at 10:21am
love the way you have put them together, not keen on the toothpick method and this way they will stay fresh longer, im sure.
