For my cousin's 9th birthday, he originally wanted a shark cake, but then he changed it to tornado. That evolved into him wanting a tornado cake with a giant shark coming out the top. Oh, and he had to be able to spin it! Sure, no problem. The cake structure was plumbing pipe attached to a cake turntable so it would spin. The base of the tornado is a 6" styrofoam cone and the rest is all cake. The "debris" in the tornado is made from fondant and was just things that were meaningful to my cousin and his mom. And of course, you can't have a tornado without a cow, so that's in there too. The present and party hat are also made of fondant.
